The story of Maso Grener begins in the 1970s, when Fausto and Cinzia met at the San Michele all’Adige wine academy in Trentino. After extensive work experience in local wineries, in 1999 they founded Maso Grener in Pressano, in the centre of the Avisian hills, first as their home and then, in 2006, as a guest house. In 2013, we decided to complete the Maso Grener project by making wines from grapes grown on our farm. We have 5 hectares given over to vineyards and orchards with some woods.
The vineyards are ‘home’ for us, and, being aware of their uniqueness, we seek to balance our cultivation practices with the ecosystem, adapting them to yearly climate variations. We are convinced that the diversity of the subsoil imparts a unique value to our grapes and our wines and enhances the land. Although we are not certified organic or biodynamic producers, we work our land using procedures and techniques that respect the environment while being economically practical.
